Position Overview
We are seeking a Quality Control Supervisor with a strong background in Drywall Taping and Finishing to oversee the final stages of our multi-family construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring our finishing work meets industry standards and client expectations. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who can guide teams, optimize productivity, and ensure the use of appropriate materials and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of project finishing, from material ordering to final polish and deficiency resolution
- Complete Quality and Progress Reporting at each stage
- Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors as needed
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Enforce quality control standards and conduct regular site inspections
- Interpret blueprints and construction drawings accurately
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Foremen, and other professionals to resolve design or quality issues
- Maintain thorough documentation including progress reports, inspection records, and employee evaluations
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role in finishing stages of mixed-use residential mid-rise and townhome projects
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a drywall finisher
- Experience in quality control and familiarity with drywall and painting an asset
- Strong understanding of safety standards and construction best practices
- Proficient in blueprint reading and construction management software
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
