Job Title: Concrete Laborer
Job Description
As a concrete laborer, you will be working on new construction projects, focusing on new buildings and renovations/remodels to commercial and industrial properties. You will perform flatwork concrete finishing or walls forms ensuring all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
Responsibilities
Placing Forms: Set forms that hold concrete to ensure the required depth and pitch.
Monitoring Conditions: Monitor the effect of heat, wind, and cold on curing concrete to ensure high-quality results.
Edge Removal: Remove edges on expansion joints and sides.
Installing Fixtures: Install anchor bolts, steel plates, and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete.
Surface Polishing: Polish surfaces using smoothing materials, abrasive tools, and surfacing machines.
Form Alignment: Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, and gutters.
Waterproofing: Apply waterproofing, damp-proofing, and restoring concrete surfaces.
Compacting Materials: Use power vibrators to compact materials and create leveled bases.
Finishing Surfaces: Finish concrete surfaces with rough or smooth patterns depending on customer preferences.
Pouring Concrete: Signal truck drivers and move chutes to facilitate pouring concrete onto forms.
Casting and Spreading: Cast and spread concrete to patch voids.
Applying Compounds: Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure the surface of concrete.
Supervising Workers: Supervise and train workers to help them use special tools to spread concrete.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
