About This Role:

The Manager of Kinetic Construction for External Construction Inspectors is a leadership role focused on guiding a team of Construction Inspectors (CIs) responsible for ensuring high-quality construction outcomes through effective monitoring, enforcement, and inspections. This position demands a strong leader who can drive performance, maintain rigorous standards, and ensure the successful completion of construction projects.

This role is crucial to ensuring the successful completion of Kinetic Construction projects, requiring a proactive and detail-oriented manager who can lead a team to achieve daily production targets, conduct comprehensive job site observations, and ensure post-construction inspections are completed to the highest standards. The Manager of Kinetic Construction for External Construction Inspectors plays a vital role in delivering quality construction outcomes and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

What You'll Do:

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and manage a team of Construction Inspectors, fostering an environment that encourages professional growth and high performance.
  • Provide regular training and development opportunities to enhance the team's skills in production monitoring, job site observations, and post-construction inspections.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and offer feedback to ensure continuous improvement and achievement of team goals.

Daily Production Monitoring and Enforcement:

  • Analyze production data to verify adherence to project specifications and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement strategies to optimize production efficiency and enforce compliance with established production targets.

Job Site Observations:

  • Ensure that Construction Inspectors conduct at least 10 Job Site Observations (JSOs) per month to monitor contractor performance and project quality.
  • Utilize the new portal in development to capture and document JSOs, providing insights into contractor efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
  • Address any issues identified during JSOs promptly, collaborating with contractors to resolve inefficiencies and enhance project outcomes.

Post Construction Inspections:

  • Coordinate and oversee post-construction inspections for work projects, ensuring quality products are delivered to local operations teams.
  • Facilitate hybrid inspections (VIT and on-site) or full in-person inspections, utilizing the most effective approach for each project.
  • Review inspection results to confirm compliance with quality standards and address any deficiencies with contractors and stakeholders.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between construction inspectors, contractors, and other project stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Represent the team's interests in meetings and discussions, advocating for necessary resources and support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors to facilitate successful project outcomes and continuous improvement.

Do You Have?

  • College degree and 5-7 years of experience with 2 years supervisory experience within Engineering and Construction.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass DOT certification per-hire and ability to obtain a CDL license post-hire.
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction management principles, including production monitoring, job site observations, and post-construction inspections.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high-performance team.
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret production data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse stakeholders and drive project success.
  • Proficiency in utilizing construction management software and tools, including portals for capturing observations and inspections.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and processes, ensuring the team is equipped with the latest tools for success.

  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects whilemaintaining budgetary emphasis.
  • Familiarity with PC and software to include CAD and Microsoft.
  • OSHA Training, NEC Training.
  • Certifications within the Telecom Industry.
  • Knowledgeable in quality construction practices.
