Schedule key project milestones such as drawing submittal packages, shop fabrication durations, material procurement, shipping, and installation of steel members; develop fabrication and construction sequences and implement those sequences into shop drawings and blueprints, release sequence packages for fabrication to the shop, and organize sequence deliveries; provide status updates, work through project-related issues and conflicts, and resolve questions; monitor and report project financials to Senior Management and accounting; prepare monthly invoices to clients and approve invoices from subcontractors; formulate Requests for Information documents and propose adequate solutions to the Design Team and General Contractor; assist in developing and executing Tekla 3D Software training seminars internally and providing continued support to the company Project Management Team; work with engineers, architects, general contractors and building trades to produce accurate shop drawings and blueprints for steel building fabrication and construction; work with draftspersons in creating and managing 3D models and coordinate with other trades to assure design accuracy has been executed, perform early clash detection, and resolve issues quickly as they arise; occasional travel to jobsites to meet with subcontractors, General Contractors, Design Team, Owners, and other trades. Requirements: 2 years experience in job offered or as Project Manager; must have 2 years experience (can be gained concurrently with the above experience) in:
Leading structural steel project teams through the project lifecycle
Managing models in Tekla 3D software
Applying model and drawing design revisions
Creating and following up on Requests for Information
Analyzing cost and schedule impact of design changes
Communicating with clients, engineers, architects and other stakeholders to resolve problems in 3D environment
Ensuring quality drawings are delivered to clients on schedule and on budget
Monitoring project costs to stay within budget
Must have working knowledge of AISC, AWS, ASTM, and OSHA requirements
