Electrician

Electrician Job Description As an electrician, you will be responsible for reading blueprints, laying out work for job execution, leading helpers, and performing various electrical installations. Your expertise in bending conduit and pipe, roughing wire, installation, and troubleshooting will be essential to successfully complete projects. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints for electrical projects. Lay out work for efficient execution of electrical jobs. Lead and guide helpers in completing electrical tasks. Bend conduit and pipe as required for installations. Perform rough wiring and conduit bending. Install switches and troubleshoot electrical issues. Essential Skills Experience with installing switchgear and running conduit. Proficient in pulling wire, bending pipe, and bending conduit. Skilled in roughing MC & BX, troubleshooting, and switch gear handling. Electrical installation expertise. Additional Skills & Qualifications OSHA 30 certification. Must have personal tools and personal protective equipment (PPE). Journeyman with 6-8 years of experience in pipe bending, troubleshooting, and switchgear. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based at the Richmond DLA - Defense Supply Center and is expected to last 3-4 months, with potential for overtime. The job site is fully regulated with mandatory and random drug screenings. Candidates must have a Real ID to enter the work site and be prepared to take a DOB drug test with the safety team. Respectful communication and compliance with safety regulations are required at all times. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Richmond, Virginia. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $47.33 - $47.33/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
