We are seeking an Aquatics Project Engineer with experience in commercial aquatic design projects.. This position will be responsible for supporting the Aquatic Engineer in the aquatic design of projects in collaboration with a Project Management Team from initial project development through project completion. The role also involves building trust and credibility when working with different styles across the engineering, management, construction and service teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop client relationships through design support of aquatic projects.
  • Support the project lead on complex projects.
  • Collaborate with Aquatic Engineer and Director of Engineering on resource management for assigned projects.
  • Responsible for managing schedule of assigned projects.
  • Consulting responsibilities including participation in site assessments and feasibility reports with or without support from our Renovation or Service teams.
  • Represent Landmark Aquatics by attending client meetings, site visits and presentations as needed.
  • Learning to design and engineer Aquatic systems for new installations, system retrofits, system replacement, and system upgrades.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or Structural Engineering preferred.
  • 1-3 years significant project experience with an emphasis on commercial aquatic design projects.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency in several of our aquatic focus areas: pumping systems, filtration systems, water heating and chilling systems, chemical treatment and monitoring systems, energy modeling and cost benefit analysis.
  • Understanding of public health codes relating to swimming pools, spas and splashpads and building codes.
  • Project Management experience preferred.
  • Self-starter who is comfortable working with high levels of autonomy.
  • Proficient in use of technology including smartphones, tablets, and laptops and comfortable using software such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit and cloud-based systems.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
