HVAC Technician II #325

• High School Diploma or GED
• Four (4) years of recent and verifiable HVAC experience.
• Must have own transportation to report to other College locations as assigned.
• Must be forklift certified within one (1) year of employment.

• Maintains and repairs HVAC and refrigeration equipment with minimal supervision.
• Maintains and repairs hydronic systems and electrical controls and equipment to include replacing belts and filters. Works on high and low voltage.
• Maintains and operates energy management system. Operates and maintains digital controls.
• Coordinates work with other departments and subcontractors.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and parts and requests additional items as necessary per job project.
• Drives College vehicles and operates golf carts and light trucks to retrieve/return supplies, equipment, tools, etc.
• Maintains and safeguards department tools, vehicles and shop areas.
• Gathers, verifies and maintains information to support periodic and special reports documenting activities and events for assigned areas.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned and directed by the President or their designee.

• Requires medium to heavy work that involves walking, standing, stooping, lifting, pushing or raising objects, exerting between 20 to 50 pounds of force on a recurring basis.
• Must be able to work various shifts and locations as assigned based on the needs of the College.
• Must have strong organizational skills, as well as effective oral and written communication.
• Must have computer knowledge to be able to perform job related tasks, clock in/out, and view personnel related information (i.e., paycheck, W-2, etc.)
