- Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering and scientific principles in solid waste assignment areas.
- Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications.
- Work independently on engineering or scientific problems, plan, and coordinate work.
- Perform field work including surveys, data gathering, liner installations, and inspections.
- Conduct office-based tasks such as CAD drafting, mathematical calculations, report writing, and creating site plans and facility diagrams.
- Engage in business development activities including proposal preparation, client meetings, and attending industry conferences or trade shows.
- Receive technical guidance on complex problems and supervisory approval on plans or projects.
- Project management skills.
- Construction and construction management expertise.
- Experience as a Project Engineer.
- Landfill engineering knowledge.
- Civil engineering proficiency.
- Tennessee P.E registration required or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in solid waste industry consulting, landfill gas management, air compliance, landfill design and permitting.
- Competent in using MS Office and other computer software used in environmental consulting.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D design software is a plus.
- Valid drivers license with a good driving record.
The work environment includes both field and office settings. Field work involves driving in varied terrain and weather conditions. Office tasks require proficiency in CAD drafting, mathematical calculations, and report writing. Business development activities include attending conferences and trade shows. The position demands a professional demeanor and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $57.69/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
