Garrett Brown Designs (GBD), a leading provider of custom furniture and architectural millwork for the hospitality and multifamily industries, is seeking a versatile Welder/Installer to join our team.
This role is ideal for a skilled welder who thrives in the shop environment but is also open to supporting installations on-site or assisting the woodworking team during slower welding periods.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform TIG and MIG welding on steel and aluminum in a shop environment.
Fabricate, finish, and color custom metal components for high-end furniture and millwork projects.
Read and interpret shop/detail drawings to ensure accuracy.
Operate and maintain shop equipment such as saws, shears, grinders, polishers, and welding
machines.
Support installation of pre-finished millwork and metal components on commercial job sites.
Perform skilled carpentry and assist the woodworking team as needed.
Modify millwork or metal on-site to ensure proper fit and alignment.
Maintain high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail in both shop and field work.
REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years of welding and metal fabrication experience in a shop environment.
TIG and MIG welding experience (mandatory).
Proficient in woodworking and metalworking hand tools and power tools.
Ability to read and understand shop and architectural drawings.
Strong math and measurement skills.
Valid Colorado drivers license with a clean driving record.
Must provide personal respirator, gloves, and welding hood.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience installing custom millwork and/or casework.
Familiarity with metal finishing techniques.
OSHA 10, forklift, scissor lift, and First Aid certified.
Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
