Job Summary:
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for managing all aspects for multiple OSP Construction projects directly related to MetroNet high-profile business customers. The PM needs to understand the OSP construction project scope, how to utilize internal and external resources effectively and efficiently, OSP construction design engineering methodology, OSP construction permitting methodology, OSP aerial and underground construction methodology, and gigabit passive optical network (GPON) methodology. The PM is responsible for organizing, coordinating, facilitating, managing, driving, and leading the project stake holders to completing the assigned Company projects on-time and within budget. The PM will be the central point of contact for all functional internal and external teams directly related to the OSP Construction activities and efforts for the project. The PM will use a wide range of tools, software, and/or systems to effectively manage communication, scope definitions, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and reports for the complete project life cycle.

What you will be doing:
- Conduct project conception and initiation that will include but not limited to building and maintaining good relationships with all internal and external stakeholders to become a powerful influencer and leader.
- Conduct project definition and planning that will include but not limited to kick-off calls with internal or external resources to communicate project scope, budget, objectives, schedule, resources, tracking, and risks for projects.
- Execute on project status and tracking that will include but not limited to facilitating regular project meetings to track progress, document scope creep, collaborate with critical stakeholders on proactive work plans for upcoming days, weeks, and months.
- Project tracking, analysis, and reporting most likely will be done within internal systems including but not limited to PEGA, MS Project, Smartsheet, Office365 suite, Q-Manager, Salesforce, and Internet browser.
- Organize and perform any required project data gathering, KPI metrics, and reports.
- Create risk management plan by identifying potential risks and create mitigation plans.
- Manage stakeholders’ expectations by providing meaningful updates on a reoccurring basis through effective and established communications methods and plans.
- Create schedule and establish the estimated completion of each construction project based on scope, resources, risks, and unknown. Set baseline schedule. Monitor and report on current schedule compared to baseline schedule.
- Perform any required project close out activities including but not limited to post-mortem meetings and reporting, project closeout documentation, and reporting.
- Travel based on project requirements.
- All other duties as assigned.
What you need for this position:
- BA/BS Degree in a business-related field preferred.
- 3+ years of project management experience.
- 3+ years of telecommunications OSP construction experience.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Customer-facing project management experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- PMP certification or Project Management preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability and experience with agile thinking, planning, and facilitating.
- Ability and experience to lead simultaneous initiatives in an entrepreneurial environment.
