About the Role
Were looking for a Substation Civil/Structural Engineer to play a key role in the design and development of critical electrical infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to lead detailed engineering phases, mentor junior staff, and contribute technical expertise to projects that strengthen and modernize the power grid.

What Youll Do

  • Lead civil/structural design efforts for substations, including planning, scheduling, and coordination with other disciplines.

  • Apply advanced judgment and analysis to new designs and modifications of existing systems.

  • Provide technical reviews and mentorship for junior engineers.

  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and project work plans.

  • Recommend improvements to design processes, materials, and construction methods.

  • Monitor progress against project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely delivery.

What Were Looking For

  • Bachelors degree in Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

  • Minimum 4 years of engineering experience within civil/structural or substation projects.

  • Strong understanding of engineering principles with hands-on application in real-world projects.

  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, mFAD, LPile, SACS, or related software.

  • Familiarity with QA/QC standards and industry best practices.

  • Effective communicator with leadership skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; involvement in professional engineering organizations is a plus.
