Parts Fabricator/Press Brake Operator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Parts Fabricator with a solid background in press brake operation to join our client's manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a press brake to bend, form, and shape sheet metal and other materials according to engineering blueprints and specifications. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a safe and efficient manner.

salary: $41,599 - $41,600 per year

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a press brake (CNC and/or manual) to bend and form metal parts to exact specifications.
  
  
• Interpret and work from engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD drawings to determine job requirements.
  
  
• Select and install appropriate dies and tooling for each job.
  
  
• Perform other fabrication tasks, including cutting, shearing, punching, grinding, and welding as needed.
  
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor programming or mechanical issues with the press brake.
  
  
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, protractors, and tape measures to verify part dimensions.
  
  
• Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of the press brake and other fabrication equipment.
  
  
• Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures, including the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  
  

The essential functions of this role include:

working in a smoke free environment

wearing steel toe shoes

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

manual lifting up to 50lbs

standing for 8 hours at one time
