JOB TITLE: Mechanic JourneymanREQUISITION: FOS00DQDEPARTMENT: Iatan Generating Station LOCATION: Weston, MoPAY: $55.27

Headquartered in both Kansas City and Topeka, Evergy employs about 4,900 people who are dedicated to empowering a better future. We are recruiting candidates for a Mechanic Journeyman at our Iatan Generating Station. Please find below a list of the minimum requirements for the position. It is important the candidates address their qualifications in the documentation submitted for consideration.

Job Duties: * Performs mechanical maintenance, machine work and repairs on power plant equipment. Performs gas heating and cutting.* Uses and maintains any equipment necessary to perform job.* Performs similar and related work consistent with the general nature of this job classification. Experience: Five years' experience in an electrical generation power plant or similar industrial concern with at least three years' experience working as a journeyman mechanic or equivalent. Applicant must have successfully completed a certified mechanic apprenticeship or equivalent training. Successful completion of mechanic apprenticeship, equivalent experience or equivalent training programs must be documented.

General: Must be licensed to drive as required by state law.

Testing: Written and practical testing as required by Evergy, Physical Agility Test
