Due to our recent expansion into the Sacramento area, we are looking for a highly talented Project Architect/Project Manager with experience across many project types such as Industrial, Retail, Advanced Technology, and Commercial/Workplace sectors. The ideal candidate excels in technical coordination, possess strong design and production skills, and has inherent abilities to manage their own work efforts along with the project discipline team, and consultants. Mackenzie is especially interested in candidates with strong professional connections and experience in the Sacramento area or have a strong ability to integrate themselves into the design and construction community of the region. Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop projects from conceptual planning to coordination of project development through design, agency approvals, and construction. Collaborate with engineering consultant teams on projects and integrate mechanical, electrical, and process systems. Perform code analysis and research on technical aspects of a project. Plan, organize, and coordinate with the project team. Interact with clients and agency staff to attain design and permit approvals for the vision of the project and technical solutions. Oversight and mentoring junior staff on the various architectural and technical related efforts. Job Requirements: 10 to 20 years of architectural experience with relevant project types. An architectural license is required Proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows. Ability to work independently on projects through design development, construction documents, and contract administration phases. Technical experience and understanding, especially with mechanical, electrical, and process systems. Experience with fast-track, advanced-tech, or engineering-led projects is a plus. Communication skills when working with clients, firm staff, and agency personnel. Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus. InDesign experience is a plus.
