Structural Engineer The Structural Engineer will report to an assigned Project Manager in the Structural department. The Structural Engineer's main job responsibilities include providing technical expertise in design, design calculations, drawing preparation, and field reviews on Structural projects. You are required to work on multiple assignments with overlapping schedules and needs to be able to multi-task to accomplish all tasks. Supervisory Responsibilities: The Structural Project Engineer will have regular contact with clients and design team members and will be representative of the companies standards. Essential Duties / Responsibilities: The Structural Project Engineer's duties and responsibilities will fall under multiple categories including but not limited to: Technical, Communication, Leadership, and Development of Clients. These duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Solve Engineering problems with direction from supervisor Prepare construction documents for supervisor's review Assist in preparing technical reports and specifications for projects Review submittals based on construction documents Use and understand design software and develop methods to validate results Perform engineering duties such as planning, designing, and overseeing projects Research and analyze data to plan projects Prepare design modules and calculations for various structural elements Prepare documents using BIM software Develop knowledge of building codes and city permitting requirements Develop knowledge of RLG's clients and design team consultants Coordination of design work with architects and other engineering disciplines Perform other related duties as assigned Requirements Required Skills / Abilities: Proficient with Revit software Positive attitude Self-Motivated High attention to detail Strong Communication skills both in person and in writing Strong Comprehension skills, both in person and writing Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field required Engineer In Training (EIT) Certificate, PE preferred Contract Type: Perm Specialism: Engineering Focus: Civil Industry: Engineering Salary: $85,000 - $125,000 per year Workplace Type: Hybrid Experience Level: Associate Location: Peoria Job Reference: STLOFI-3D869068 Date posted: August 25, 2025 Consultant: Mackenzie Cohoe
