Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of Site Specific Safety Plans.
- Coordinate with the project team to establish a safe working environment for all.
- Conduct and coordinate all-hands site safety meetings on a monthly basis.
- Attend project foreman's meetings to discuss safety topics and concerns.
- Act as a liaison between the client and the team on safety issues and concerns.
- Issue and assist with safety permits such as Hot Work, LOTO, Trenching, and Confined Space.
- Assist in planning of all high-risk activities.
- Review and sign off on crane pick plans and confined space entry plans.
- Conduct weekly Site Safety Audits to ensure and document safe working conditions.
- Ensure subcontractors follow procedures, OSHA, state, and site-specific regulations.
- Supervise subcontractor activities and ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ensure compliance with safety documentation such as JHAs, Method Statements, and training records.
- Collect and record data and pertinent information related to safety.
- Attend Foreman coordination meetings to provide guidance on safe task performance.
- Ensure all PPE and safety equipment is stocked and ready for use.
- Stay updated on the latest industry rules, regulations, and standards.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of experience in construction safety.
- Familiarity with safety management, audits, and site safety.
- Proficiency in OSHA regulations, including OSHA 30 and OSHA 500.
- Experience in EHS and construction safety.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- CHST or SSHO certification is highly preferred.
- Own a laptop for work purposes.
