- Utilize Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD software with a focus on structural engineering design.
- Edit and manipulate Revit families and their parameters.
- Independently set up new projects and link outside models into structural models.
- Extract model elements such as grid lines and project levels for use in the structural model.
- Assist in the preparation of construction contract documents, plans, and reports.
- Support structural engineering analyses and design for projects of all sizes.
- Perform calculations using company standard software.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- Collaborate on several projects concurrently.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD software.
- 2 years of experience in design and Revit.
- Experience in structural design and analysis.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with residential or commercial projects.
- Capability to perform and review linear and non-linear dynamic modeling.
- Proficiency in civil engineering principles.
- Ability to work on diverse project types and learn directly from the company owner.
Work Environment The position is primarily office-based with occasional site visits. Hybrid work flexibility is available, requiring the candidate to be local to the Winchester, VA area. The typical office environment involves working with computers and remaining sedentary for extended periods. Work may include exposure to the elements, including inclement weather. Benefits include a 401K plan and full employee health benefits after a 9-month contract period. There is also potential for occasional remote work based on performance.
