About the Role
As a Maintenance Supervisor at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of plant equipment while leading a team of skilled maintenance technicians. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, enjoys problem-solving, and has a strong technical background in industrial maintenance.

Shift: 3rd Shift

What Youll Do

• Supervises, trains, and mentors maintenance technicians to ensure efficient daily operations.

• Oversees and participates in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining plant machinery, including mills, welders, cutting systems, and material handling equipment.

• Develops and implements preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.

• Enforces safety protocols and regulatory compliance, ensuring OSHA and company policies are followed.

• Responds quickly to equipment breakdowns and production disruptions, coordinating emergency repairs.

• Monitors spare parts inventory and coordinates procurement of necessary components.

• Identifies and implements improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in maintenance processes.

• Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and compliance reports.

• Collaborates with production, engineering, and quality teams to support seamless operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Who You Are

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in steel manufacturing or heavy industry.

• 2+ years of supervisory experience leading a maintenance team.

• Associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or related field (equivalent work experience considered).

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; welding and fabrication experience a plus.

• Proficient in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and Microsoft Office.

• Skilled in diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical issues and implementing effective solutions.

• Safety-focused with knowledge of OSHA safety standards and industrial best practices.
