Deep Foundation Foreman at GLO Resources

GLO Resources is currently hiring an experienced Foundation Foreman in Prairieville, LA . The pay rate is up to $32 an hour, depending on experience, including Per Diem of $50.00 a day for each day worked. The schedule is Monday-Friday, depending on travel and location, from 4:00 AM until completion. Travel will be 75-100% of the time, often 10-12 consecutive days on the road followed by 3-4 days back home.

Hotels will be covered during travel.

Position Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for supervising field crews and overseeing the safe, productive, and quality execution of deep pile foundation work related to electrical pole foundations and utility infrastructure. The Foreman plays a key role in translating project plans into on-the-ground actions, managing crews, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of crew members on assigned job sites.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and proactively identify and mitigate risks.
  • Interpret project drawings, plans, and specifications to guide field operations.
  • Operate and oversee pile driving, vibratory hammer, and drill shaft equipment.
  • Maintain and inspect tools, machinery, and safety gear for functionality and compliance.
  • Ensure foundation installations meet quality, schedule, and specification standards.
  • Document and report daily progress to the Superintendent or Project Manager.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for on-site crew direction and coordination.
  • Communicate with vendors or suppliers for material and equipment needs.
  • Troubleshoot field issues and escalate unresolved or complex problems as necessary.
  • Lead safety meetings and toolbox talks each morning.
  • Provide hands-on training and mentorship to crew members to support growth and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in heavy civil, utility, or foundation construction.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory or lead experience, with proven team management skills.
  • Knowledge of deep foundation methods, including vibratory and drilled shaft installations.
  • Familiarity with project drawings and electric utility pole foundation requirements.
  • Strong focus on safety, efficiency, and quality, leading by example .
  • Excellent communication , leadership , and problem-solving skills .
  • OSHA 10 required or willing to obtain; OSHA 30 preferred.
  • TWIC card required or receipt of application.
  • Valid Class D drivers license or willingness to obtain after employment.
  • Experience with vibratory foundation and drill shaft installations.
  • Willing to submit to drug screening, alcohol testing, MVR check, and physical.

Physical Requirements:

This position involves regular physical activity, including:

  • Standing for prolonged periods.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching.
