A Structural Engineer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Kennedy Space Center, FL area. This Structural Engineer is responsible for designing and analyzing piping supports in compliance with industry codes, collaborating across disciplines, and utilizing 3D modeling and structural analysis tools to deliver effective engineering solutions.

responsibilities:
  • Locate and design supports for various piping systems.

  • Perform calculations related to pipe support design.

  • Apply knowledge of pipe support hardware, industry standards, AISC, and ASME B31.3 codes.

  • Collaborate with layout personnel and pipe stress engineers.

  • Ensure quality and cost-effective designs.

  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors.

  • Work in a 3D modeling environment.
Desired Skills:

  • Experience using GTStrudel for pipe support analysis.

  • Familiarity with Pipe Support Modeler software.

  • Prior experience on company projects.

  • Previous DOD/DOE project experience.
Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering.

  • strong knowledge of AISC, ASME B31.3, and relevant industry codes.

  • Experience with structural analysis software.
