Campus Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Exton, PA
Position Summary:
A Campus Maintenance Supervisor oversees the upkeep of buildings and facilities, leading a team to perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and renovations. They also manage budgets, develop maintenance schedules, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Your Day-to-Day:
Supervision and Team Management:
Directs and coordinates the work of maintenance technicians, contractors, and other staff involved in building maintenance activities.
Preventative Maintenance:
Develops and implements preventative maintenance programs to ensure the long-term reliability and efficiency of building systems and equipment.
Repairs and Renovations:
Oversees and manages repairs, renovations, and construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Budget Management:
Manages and monitors the maintenance budget, ensuring that resources are used efficiently and effectively.
Safety Compliance:
Ensures that all maintenance activities are conducted safely and in compliance with relevant safety regulations, such as OSHA.
Inventory Management:
Maintains inventory of tools, materials, and equipment needed for maintenance activities.
Communication and Coordination:
Communicates effectively with colleagues and other stakeholders, providing timely updates and addressing their concerns.
Problem-Solving:
Identifies and solves problems related to campus maintenance and repairs, working collaboratively with the maintenance team to find solutions.
What You Bring to The Team:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in facilities operations and knowledge of maintenance systems, technical operations, building codes, and regulations (HVAC, plumbing, light electrical).
- Basic Handyman Skills: Ability to lift 60 lbs., climb ladders, and proficiency in using basic power/hand tools .
- Leadership and Team Management: Ability to motivate, direct, and supervise a team of maintenance workers.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with various building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people, both verbally and in writing.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and make sound decisions.
- Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Budget Management: Ability to manage and monitor budgets, ensuring that resources are used effectively.
- Must have a valid drivers license for local travel in company vehicle.
- This is a full-time role expected to work 40 hours per week, office-based in the US.
- Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements ). The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the company in person, and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling, and meeting functions.
