Summary:

The Foreman will collaboratively with the Superintendent and Project Manager ona jobsite to provide overall direction for jobsite activities. The Foreman willsupervise field crews to ensure that projects are completed on time and withinbudget. Make decisions that can greatly impact corporate relationship withclients and profitability of projects. The position is responsible forsupporting and oversight of all construction safety practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Complete projects to job specifications and within the assigned time andbudget as assigned by SuperintendentSupervise and coordinate the activity of workers to ensure that work is donesafely, correctly, and timelyInspect quality of work to ensure company standards and projectspecifications are metAnalyze and resolve work related problemsSupervise the project crews, suppliers, and subcontractorsManage the timecards/sheets for each member of the project crewAssists with or conducts safety meetings on site as requiredManage the daily job workflow to maximize labor efficiencyReport job progress to Superintendent dailyAssists in filling out portions of the Daily Work Report as requiredInform the Superintendent of all project/customer issues immediately anddiscuss options for resolutionWill ensure all equipment operators and laborers receive proper training andguidance before they are scheduled to perform project workKeep assigned vehicles clean and in good repairTurn in vehicle review paperwork and schedule for regularly scheduledmaintenance as necessary-notifying Superintendent of scheduled maintenanceDirects work progress of subcontractors on job sites assignedEnsures subcontractors are meeting goals on a consistent basisRoutinely inventory project materials on company vehicles to ensure adequatesupply necessary on stock items is present for job completionMaintain a cooperative and positive working relationship with customers,coworkers, and the business communityEnsures that work is completed per contract, plans and specificationsEnsures that jobs meet completion deadlinesEnsures completion of closeout in a timely mannerDemonstrates knowledge of plans and specificationsDemonstrates knowledge of industry-related tradesMonitors rental equipment, delivery, storage, operation, and maintenanceCompletes required paperwork accurately and timelyEnsures implementation of safety program for field personnelCommunicates job requirements to the Field PersonnelProduces a high quality of workObserves Company policies and proceduresObserves Company safety rules and regulationsPerforms other job-related duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

Experience working on relevant civil projectsKnowledge of grading and stakingAbility to operate specialized equipment on job sites for finish gradingKnowledge of traffic and erosion controlKnowledge of construction technology, codes, standards, etc.Ability to read blueprints and delegate tasks at hand to the crewLeadership attributes including, but and not limited to organizational andcritical thinking skills, the ability to analyze data and trends, professionalconduct at all timesHigh-stress tolerance; must be able to thrive in a high-pressure environmentA highly motivated self-starting, autonomous individual who can workindependently and set their own priorities, yet also function well as part ofthe overall team
