SUMMARY:
Performs a variety of diversified carpentry duties in areas of rough carpentry, finish carpentry, cabinetwork and countertop work. The incumbent is subject to overtime and callback as required by the hospital.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
High school education or equivalent.
Vocational training, apprentice program or equivalent work experience is desired.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Two or more years of similar experience.
Prior hospital experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Knowledge of the proper use of all types of carpentry equipment, including but not limited to, saws, routers, band saws, jointers, planers etc.
Ability to read to follow written assignments, blueprints and manufacturer's directions.
Must possess understanding and knowledge of The Joint Commission Environment of Care standards, Illinois Dept. of Public Health building code requirements, and other applicable federal, state and local building code requirements for a hospital.
REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid Driver's license
