Carpenter** **Job Description** As a skilled carpenter, you will play a crucial role in construction and woodworking. Your tasks will involve interpreting blueprints, taking precise measurements, cutting and shaping materials, constructing various structures, and ensuring the quality and integrity of your work. **Responsibilities** + Interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully understand project requirements. + Take precise measurements and calculate the necessary materials for each job. + Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials like fiberglass to meet specifications. + Construct window frames, doors, staircases, and buildings using raw materials or pre-assembled components. + Install flooring, roofing, and drywall, ensuring proper alignment. + Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other fixtures, then place them as designated. + Conduct inspections, repairs, and maintenance to uphold structural integrity. + Build scaffolding and other essential construction frameworks. **Essential Skills** + Proven experience as a carpenter. + Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials. + Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction. + Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools such as powered saws, hammers, and rulers. + Ability to read technical documents and drawings. + Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times. + Good knowledge of English. + Good understanding of basic math. + Good physical condition and endurance. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma. + Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program. **Why Work Here?** Working in a hospital setting from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, offers stability and a structured schedule.
