MOPA, LLC is seeking a Project Manager/Estimator to join our team. Since 1999, MOPA has delivered exceptional low-voltage projects across the public safety, government, commercial, healthcare, and education sectors throughout Utah and surrounding states. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of experience in project management and estimating within structured cabling, audio-visual systems, and access control, and hold the required BICSI certifications. This role involves preparing bid pricing, budgets, design-build proposals, and RFP submissions, as well as managing our diverse client base. Pay Range The salary range is $ 55,000 to $ 75,000, plus Bonuses, depending on Experience and Certifications. Key Responsibilities: Estimating and Bidding: Prepare bid pricing, budgets, and proposals for projects ranging from $10K to $750K+ Project Management: Oversee all aspects of construction projects from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, and close-out Client Management: Maintain and grow relationships with government, public safety, and commercial clients while pursuing new work Scope Review: Assess the scope of work, materials, and project schedules for mission-critical installations Meetings and Presentations: Participate in pre-bid, bid review, and construction meetings, and present at shortlist interviews Cost Tracking: Monitor job costs and document necessary processes for government compliance Proposal Writing and Negotiation: Write professional proposals and negotiate terms with architects, consultants, and contractors Relationship Building: Develop relationships with general contractors, electrical contractors, integrators, and end-users in public safety sectors Required Qualifications: Experience: Minimum 4 years of project management and estimating experience in the low-voltage, structured cabling, and audio-visual systems industry. REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: BICSI Installer 2 Certification (Fiber AND/OR Copper) - MANDATORY BICSI Project Management Certification - or equal preferred. Software Proficiency: Proficient with computer software programs used in estimating and project management Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate with customers, vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors Financial Acumen: Ability to track and control costs, manage P&L goals, and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability Contract Negotiation: Capability to read and negotiate the scope of work for service and construction contracts Government Experience: Experience with government contracts and compliance requirements preferred This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to make a significant impact within Utah's leading provider of public safety technology solutions.
