Vander Hyde Mechanical, a family-owned business located on the Northwest side of Grand Rapids, is seeking an experienced, motivated Commercial HVAC Foreman!

Vander Hyde Mechanical is a growing leader in the residential and commercial Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, and Electrical trades and has proudly been in business for over 35 years! Integrity, technical expertise, and high-quality service are the guiding principles of the Vander Hyde team.

The Commercial HVAC Foreman has an advanced knowledge of installing or replacing HVAC systems correctly. Work involves troubleshooting, installing and replacing HVAC systems and equipment on commercial job sites.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities required:

Strong Problem Solving and Critical Thinking Skills

Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams

Knowledge and understanding of refrigeration cycles

Ability to lead and work on a team

Must be able to perform work duties satisfactorily.

Knowledge and ability to meet local HVAC codes

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Ability to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items and work from heights or small spaces.

Ability to pass background check.

Requirements:

Type II EPA Certification or EPA Universal

Driver's License and Insurable driving record

3 or more years experience

Possess basic hand tools

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: 4-day work week (Monday - Thursday, 10-hour shifts)

Pay Range: $25-$37/ per hour, based on experience.
