Conveyor Mechanic

Service Technician Job Description The Service Technician is responsible for traveling to customer sites as needed, sometimes with little notice, to service and repair conveyor systems. This position requires exceptional mechanical skills and the ability to maintain, organize, and clean equipment and work areas. A successful candidate must have the ability to use various hand tools, shop machinery (drills, saws, shears, etc.), forklifts, and cranes. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on shop equipment, taking apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts. Check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary. Handle basic repairs and maintenance. Repair machines, equipment, or structures as necessary. Perform other duties as determined by the Service Manager. Essential Skills 3+ years of Industrial and Facilities Maintenance Experience. Mechanical and Electrical Skills, including 480 V Electrical. Proficiency in Pneumatic and Hydraulic Machinery Maintenance. Facilities Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC. Additional Skills & Qualifications Associates degree in Maintenance related skill preferred. Work Environment The work environment is currently fast-paced due to short staffing, leading to lots of overtime. The facility is not climate-controlled, with fans or heaters running depending on the season. Steel-toed shoes are required.
