Production Supervisor Job Description The Manufacturing Supervisor plays a critical role in coordinating with Engineering, Quality, and Materials functions to effectively execute orders and meet customer requirements. The role involves overseeing processes such as Press Shop, Assembly, and Powder Coating, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of products. The supervisor will also lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance productivity, quality, and execution, aligning with plant profitability goals and ensuring employee and customer satisfaction. Opportunities are available for both 1st and 2nd shifts. Responsibilities Ensure a safe work environment at all times. Monitor compliance with legislative and plant regulations. Address and correct any non-conformances promptly. Collaborate with relevant functions to identify, correct, and improve product quality issues. Ensure compliance with all Quality standards and customer requirements. Execute orders by shipping products at expected costs, quality levels, and on time to meet customer requirement dates and plant financial targets. Lead and develop a skilled production workforce through leadership, training, and cross-training opportunities. Maintain strong communication and development to keep the team informed. Assess team performance, provide feedback, and coaching. Foster a positive work environment by driving empowerment and ensuring employee engagement and motivation. Identify, participate in, and complete initiatives to improve safety, eliminate waste, and support cost reduction requirements. Essential Skills Production supervision and management experience. Continuous improvement and lean manufacturing expertise. Supervisory and management skills, including Six Sigma knowledge. Experience in manufacturing operations and processes. 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in metal fabrication. Technical education and/or equivalent experience. Strong safety experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with metal fabrication processes, assembly methods, and welding technology. 5S knowledge and experience for continuous improvement initiatives. Process-oriented and logical thinker. Ability to handle pressure and deliver effective change management. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and prioritization skills. Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business requirements. Why Work Here?
