Maintenance Mechanic Technician

Industrial Maintenance Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled industrial maintenance technician to oversee the installation and maintenance of industrial equipment. The role involves ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment, including new equipment installation, regular services, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns. Responsibilities Read and interpret engineering blueprints. Install new production equipment. Service and maintain equipment including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production-related equipment. Inspect and assess the functionality of production machines. Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns. Adjust mechanical parts using hand and machine tools. Fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades. Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks. Communicate with the production team and maintain a clean work area. Prepare and submit maintenance reports. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment includes cleanroom settings as well as areas with larger presses. The current schedule is Monday through Thursday from 5am to 3:30pm, with optional overtime on Fridays from 5am to 1:30pm. Potential future schedules may include alternating weeks with overtime opportunities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo Grove, Illinois. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.70 - $35.70/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
