About the Position

The Field Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the field operations team, ensuring that all field-based projects and tasks are executed efficiently and safely. This role involves managing all operational aspects related to job sites, including supporting Labor managers, field staff and resources while ensuring compliance with safety standards. The Field Operations Manager will work closely with Superintendents, Field Foremen, Subcontractors, Field Specialists and other key stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This position ensures all field operations work is coordinated and organized, in alignment with all Company policies, procedures, key objectives and standards.

Day in the Life

Manages the daily operations of field activities, ensuring projects run smoothly and efficiently, and tasks are completed on time and in accordance with safety and quality standards.

Collaborates with Superintendents and Field Foremen to allocate resources, equipment, and manpower as needed. Ensures that all resources are allocated efficiently to minimize waste and maximize productivity.

Works closely with Payroll and HR departments ensuring accurate field payroll and workforce counts.

Partners with Field specialists to create and standardize new processes as needed to support operations.

Ensures compliance with all relevant safety regulations and industry standards on job sites.

Coordinates safety training for all field staff and ensures that all workers have necessary certifications.

Mentors field staff, providing guidance and training. Develops and implements training programs to improve skills and safety awareness for field personnel.

Acts as a liaison between job sites and office personnel, addressing any operational issues that arise

Ensures that all project documentation, such as safety reports, timesheets, and daily logs, is accurately maintained and filed.

Provides regular updates and reports to senior management on field operations, including progress, challenges, and accomplishments

Fosters effective communication between the field, office, and project management teams to ensure seamless operations.

Consistently makes decisions in an attentive and safe manner to ensure the safety and health of self and others.

Utilizes LEAN concepts or other continuous improvement methodologies to ensure the most efficient operations, processes, and activities.

Promotes and models the Company mission, vision and values through exercising sound and ethical business practices, championing all elements of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and providing high quality services and programs as they relate to clients, subcontractors, co-workers, suppliers, and the public.

Minimum Qualifications

BS in Construction Management, Business Administration or related field experience.

Minimum 7 years field operations experience with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

Strong background in operations management, a deep understanding of construction processes, equipment and safety regulations.

Proven ability to manage and lead teams in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate with all departments.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and project management software.

Ability to work in the field with regular travel to job sites.

Salary Range

$76,300 - 91,600 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
