The Checkers Processing Plant is the central hub for gold ore processing for the Mount Magnet, Cue and Penny operations. With an upgrade planned to increase the current 1.9 Mtpa processing capacity, and 17 year mine life, it is an exciting time to join the team.

The Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and working within a skilled and approachable maintenance team, you will provide expert Electrical Maintenance to the Mount Magnet operation, including:

Maintain electrical equipment in the processing plant, WWTP, RO plant, borefields, camp and other surface infrastructure to a high standard and optimal availability

Deliver electrical maintenance work to a high standard and attend to breakdowns promptly

Ensure all work is carried out in line with Mines Regulations

Identify root causes of equipment failure through effective fault finding

Ensure preventative maintenance and scheduled checks are conducted as planned

Work to site safety standards and to established job procedures

Support other trades within the Maintenance team as required

Promptly attend to call outs on a rotational basis

Ensure job records are completed thoroughly and promptly in Pronto, and stock requirements ae communicated effectively

About You

We're looking for a team player with experience in working in a minerals Processing plant who has a positive attitude and works well in a small team environment. You will be someone who brings:

Current A Grade Electrical licence

HV Switching ticket is essential

Demonstrated significant experience working as an Electrician in Fixed Plant Maintenance or Construction

Instrumentation ticket would be an advantage

EWP, Forklift, Telehandler or Bobcat nationally accredited tickets would be desirable

Sound knowledge of Mines regulations wiring rules

Previous experience with Scada and PLC's

Pronto experience would be an advantage

A current West Australian C Class (manual) driver's licence and the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance for site access clearance.
