ABOUT YOU As a Mechanical Engineer, you are a technically skilled and detail-oriented professional who thrives in complex environments, balancing safety, quality, budget, and efficiency while delivering infrastructure that enhances the customer experience. What you will do: + Support the Deputy Director by identifying, developing, and tracking capital projects, preparing data-driven updates, and securing internal and external project approvals. + Lead consultant selection and contracting, prepare RFQs and RFPs, negotiate fees, and guide consultants to ensure alignment with scope, schedule, and budget. + Oversee design and construction phases, monitor quality and progress, manage change orders and BIM deliverables, and ensure projects are safely completed, commissioned, and closed out. + Coordinate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders, contribute to environmental reviews, and represent projects through briefings and public presentations. WHAT YOU OFFER + Bachelor's or Master's Degree in construction, Architecture, or Engineering, with 7+ years' experience, including 6+ years managing complex capital projects of $5M or more. + Specialized expertise in airfield facility design and construction, with working knowledge of FAA standards for pavements, lighting, signage, and related infrastructure. + Proficiency in Massachusetts public bidding laws, construction management, budgeting, and software tools including Microsoft Office and Primavera. + Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills, supported by a valid driver's license and experience navigating public agency project environments. *Click here for detailed job description ( WHAT WE OFFER Collaboration with colleagues at all levels of leadership from all different disciplines, from Aviation to Maritime and beyond.
