Working under the general direction of the Chief Project Engineer, this role focuses on engineering, capital planning, and project execution at the Woodward plant for a large chemical manufacturing company that is a pioneer in the agricultural industry . The Project Engineer leads a capital portfolio of medium to large capital projects for the plant, collaborating with a cross-functional team to drive project success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to uphold EHS excellence and oversee project management, including leadership, development, planning, execution, controls, risk management, and business results. Additionally, it provides a unique chance to manage diverse projects while supporting Operations and Maintenance teams, leveraging cross-functional expertise to meet safety, operability, and reliability objectives. Position: Project Engineer or Sr. Project Engineer Location: Woodward, OK (Comprehensive Relocation Package Offered for Both Homeowners and Renters) Salary: $110,000 to $160,000 Shift: M-F On-Site 9/80 Shift ( 26 three-day weekends per year) Week 1: Employees work nine-hour days from Monday to Thursday and an eight-hour day on Friday. Week 2: Employees work nine-hour days from Monday to Thursday and get Friday off . Start Date: June 30th Required Qualifications: Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree from an ABET accredited institution Minimum of 8 years of applicable engineering/industry experience (Chemical Manufacturing, Energy, Oil & Gas) Experience in project engineering or management and familiarity with capital project development and execution on projects valued between $50,000 to 1 million dollars Knowledge of state, local and U.S. Government regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and industry standards. Added Qualifications: PMP training/certification Working knowledge, and understanding with various rotating equipment currently utilized, or planned to be utilized, within the operating facility Knowledge of AutoCAD Job Description: Coordinates cross-functional teams to ensure overall project success. Identifies, recommends, and implements project management best practices using a stage-gate FEL framework and risk management techniques. Provides supervision of project plant construction work ensuring EHS excellence in all phases of work. Champions and leads strong safety process throughout every phase of the project ensuring all projects are planned and executed in compliance with company Best Practices/Policies, state, federal and local laws and regulations including plant Process Safety Management (PSM) and Management of Change (MOC) compliance. Participates in Process Hazard Analysis and other PSM activities. Provides direct technical support and inspection of various new equipment fabrication or refurbishment of existing equipment at the site, or, at the equipment manufacturing facilities. Leads the execution of multiple projects of moderate to high complexity. Coordinates and leads in Root Cause Analysis and Failure Analysis studies and recommendations. Uses project management framework to achieve technical project objectives delivered safely, on-time, and on budget with realized operability and reliability results. Regularly measures and monitors project progress to identify variances from the plan and develop mitigation plans Provides sponsors and stakeholders with a routine status of projects, including, actively communicating technical issues and risks to ensure site leadership alignment. Ensures that projects meet the operability and schedule requirements defined in the project objectives. Accountable for developing strategic and tactical metrics from internal and external benchmarking, which include safety, operability, cost, and schedule objectives.
