Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Welder with certifications in TIG welding, and experience welding brass and aluminum components. This role is critical to producing high-integrity, precision welds for complex parts used in demanding applications across defense, aerospace, and industrial sectors. The ideal candidate demonstrates technical excellence, attention to detail, and pride in craftsmanship. The value you'll bring to the team: + Perform advanced TIG welding on brass and aluminum components per blueprint specifications and work orders. + Read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and technical documents accurately. + Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently, including proper gas flow, amperage settings, and torch techniques. + Ensure welds meet strict quality standards, including visual inspection and destructive/non-destructive testing requirements. + Collaborate with fabricators, machinists, and quality control to ensure dimensional accuracy and performance of welded assemblies. + Maintain welding certifications and continuously improve technique to meet evolving industry standards. + Assist in the training and mentoring of junior welders as needed. + Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to OSHA and internal safety standards. + Support cross-functional projects and prototype builds as required. Qualifications: + High school diploma or GED required; technical school or welding certification preferred. + TIG Welding Certification is required. + Minimum 2+ years of experience welding aluminum and brass components, or recent technical school graduate. + Strong understanding of metallurgy, joint design, heat input control, and weld distortion in non-ferrous metals. + Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment. + Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. + Knowledge of AWS standards, especially as they relate to aerospace and defense applications, is a plus. + Strong communication and collaboration skills. + Must be authorized to work in the United States.
