Sheet Metal Fabricator Job Description As a Sheet Metal Fabricator, you will be tasked with fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal ductwork and components specifically for HVAC systems. Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine project requirements. Measure, cut, and shape sheet metal using hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as shears, brakes, and presses. Weld, solder, and rivet seams and joints to assemble ductwork and ensure airtight connections. Inspect and test completed ductwork for conformance to specifications and building codes. Perform maintenance and repair work on existing ductwork systems. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Collaborate with other team members and contractors to complete projects on time and within budget. Essential Skills Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication and HVAC ductwork. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Proficiency in welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
