Drafting Technician

Seeking a detail-oriented and Drafting Technician to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design and proficiency in various drafting software. Responsibilities Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare materials estimate to aid customer in costing project. Prepare layouts and detailed drawings for customer approval. Confer with furniture dealers, designers, architects, owners, and others as needed on changes and adjustments to cost estimates. Consult with customers, vendors, and co-workers to discuss and formulate estimates. Ensure estimates are developed and delivered in a timely manner. Provide excellent customer service. Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history. Must be willing to work in a team environment to accomplish success oriented results Qualifications: An Associate's Degree in Drafting and Design preferred; not required. 3D modeling experience (AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.) Experience in Millwork or Casework is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Supply chain experience is highly desirable. Analytical and problem-solving skills are a must. Strong written and verbal communication skills
