Fabricator

The ideal candidate for this position would have knowledge in a wide variety of maintenance-related fields to ensure a safe working environment, increase productivity, and ensure accuracy. Job Summary The Stainless Steel Metal Fabricator will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing stainless steel components used in food processing and packaging equipment. This role involves working with various tools and techniques to ensure that all metal structures meet the high standards required for food safety and quality. Job Responsibilities Fabrication Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the requirements for metal fabrication. Measure, cut, bend, and shape stainless steel sheets, plates, and pipes using various tools and equipment. Assemble and weld metal components to form structures and machinery. Installation & Maintenance Install fabricated stainless steel components and systems in accordance with safety and quality guidelines. Perform regular maintenance, repairs, and modifications on existing stainless steel equipment and structures. Ensure all installations comply with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Quality Control Inspect and test fabricated components to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standards. Identify and address any defects or issues in the fabrication process. Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and repairs. Safety & Compliance Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working with metal fabrication tools and machinery. Follow food plant safety regulations and ensure all work areas are clean and organized. Ensure all fabricated components comply with food safety and hygiene regulations. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with engineers, maintenance teams, and production staff to ensure seamless integration of fabricated components. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project status, issues, and requirements. Qualifications Experience Experience in stainless steel metal fabrication, preferably in a food manufacturing or processing environment. Experience with welding (TIG, MIG), cutting, grinding, and other metalworking techniques.
