Agency Overview

The Supreme Court of Ohio is seeking to fill the position of Maintenance Mechanic in the Office of Building Services. This position works for the Facilities section to ensure that the beautiful and historic Thomas J. Moyer Judicial Center operates for staff and guests to the building.

Job Description

What You'll Do:

Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Coordinator, the ideal candidate for this position will perform a variety of tasks that are consistent with various building systems preventative maintenance. Knowledge of fountain or pool maintenance, painting, drywall installation, small appliance repair, carpentry and plumbing are a plus. Basic electrical and HVAC training are desirable. We offer Our Maintenance Mechanics first-hand training for new skills to be utilized while on the job-training as well. Most importantly, the ideal candidate is a team player with the desire to continue acquiring new skills.

Qualifications

What we're looking for:

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

3-5 years Maintenance or building trades experience.

Ability to work under limited supervision.

General knowledge of common equipment and tools including use of electrical meter(s).

A valid Ohio driver's license.

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or team lift to 100 pounds.

Ability to occasionally work in various outdoor weather conditions.

This is a non-exempt unclassified position, reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator. The salary range for this position, which is commensurate with experience, is $42,993.60-$61,984.00.
