Volt is hiring local aluminum TIG/GTAW welders for a client in Tulsa OK. This position will be responsible for welding vessels of various types of metals using TIG/GTAW. The client produces high quality manufactured products using radiography, vacuum mass spectrometry, and phased array ultrasonic testing and also complies with ASME, DOT, AAR, and EN pressure vessel codes. If you are experienced in welding aluminum, it will consist of one 6"x4" bead on plate with SS filler and aluminum filler to test for aluminum proficiecy and two (2) 2" SS pipe sch5, sch10 test pieces in the 6G position for workmanship and process knowledge. There will also be additional testing in fthe first week on 2G, 3G, and 6G for qualifications upon being hired to better place you on tasks and teams. If you do not have experience with aluminum welding, the test will be adjusted to work with other materials. However, even if you pass the modified teast you will need to attend day shift 10-hr training courses M-F. These will be paid at $23.50/hr. Once you are able to get certification on aluminum you will go on to the roles at $28/hr.Schedule: M-F for days, S-Th for nights (but training on days for several weeks). Mandatory 10-hour shifts, optional 12-hour shifts available.Pay Rate: $28/hr for both shifts while contingent through Volt Workforce Solutions, with shift differential for evenings applied after conversion to direct hire with client.Location: Training AND work will be done at TULSA, Oklahoma 74134. This is NOT a traveling role and does NOT offer per diem.Duration: Scheduled for up to twelve months through Volt Workforce Solutions, contingent on candidate performance and client business needs.
