Position Description
The position of Assistant Project Manager is responsible for providing a high level of coordination support in a variety of areas, partnering with construction project management and field staff.
Duties and responsibilities:
Assist Project Managers in a full range of service management duties
Prepare submittals, as directed
Take offs on estimates, as directed
Become proficient with ConEst estimating system
Ordering and tracking materials for projects and services
Write and track subcontracts
Assist Project Managers with budgets and purchase orders
Attend job walks and surveys as assigned
Support an injury free work environment and safety culture
Assist with pre-task planning and job hazard analysis
Other administrative duties, as assigned
Position Requirements
Experience and Skills:
Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical construction or similar industry
Estimating and project management skills, preferred
Basic knowledge of electrical installations, codes and construction methods
Familiar with reading blueprints for structured cabling, building controls, fire alarm, security, access control
Proficiency at an intermediate lever with computer skills - Excel, Word, and related PC skills
Driver's license, clean driving record required
Strong math and organizational skills
Excellent people, communication skills
Have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to multitask
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary range for this position is $75,000.00-$110,000.00annually.
Opportunity for a discretionary year-end bonus.
