UOSA serves Fairfax County, Prince William County, and the cities of Manassas and Manassas

Park and is the first and longest-operated indirect potable reuse project in the United States.

UOSA has been treating and reclaiming water for use as drinking water for nearly 50 years.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

As a Construction Project Engineer, you will lead engineering projects, oversee facility upgrades

and drive forward-thinking solutions in water recycling. Your project engineering, management,

and communication skills will be paramount as you will serve as the representative for very

complex projects. Work assignments will be broad in scope and require engineering acumen to

make professional and technical decisions of appreciable difficulty. Your work will be a critical

component of UOSA's Vision to be globally recognized for its leadership in protecting the region's

water resources.

REQUIREMENTS

Construction Project Engineer III:

o BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited four-year college or university

required; BS in Civil Engineering preferred.

o Possession of Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification preferred.

o Some experience in civil engineering and construction projects, including

planning, designing, and constructing water or wastewater facilities.

Construction Project Engineer II:

o BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited four-year college or university

required; BS in Civil Engineering preferred.

o EIT certification required.

o Considerable experience in civil engineering and construction projects, including

planning, designing, and constructing water or wastewater facilities.

Construction Project Engineer I:

o BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited four-year college or university

required; BS in Civil Engineering preferred.

o EIT certification required.

o Considerable experience in civil engineering and construction projects, including

planning, designing, and constructing water or wastewater facilities.

Must be able to handle the physical requirements of the position, including

extensive walking, bending, stooping, climbing stairs and ladders, and

lifting/carrying up to 30 pounds.

Possession of a vehicle operator's license valid in the Commonwealth of Virginia is

required.
