Job Summary

The Project Manager, working with Commercial Team, Application Engineers, Product Management, Engineering and Test Lab, will plan the execution strategy and schedule to create proposals, bids and submittals. The Project Manager will direct and manage the project from quote kick off to project award and booking. This includes managing resources and coordinating the efforts of cross functional team members and third-party contractors and suppliers to deliver quotes and submittals according to plan. The Project Manager is responsible for keeping multiple projects on schedule and must possess the ability to efficiently drive cross-functional efforts to the satisfaction of our customers. The Project Manager must be an effective communicator to keep all members that are involved in the project informed & accountable for their responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Works with Application Engineers & Business Development team members, product managers, product engineers, plant/test lab leaders and senior management to develop full-scale bid plans and associated communication documents that includes the scope, schedule, budgets, goals, and other deliverables.
  • Oversee the entire bid lifecycle, from the kickoff meeting to the award.
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
  • Plan, schedule and track project timelines, deliverables and milestones using appropriate tools
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, presentations and critical issues lists
  • Review the content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work

Job Qualifications :

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years direct work experience in project management capacity, or as an estimator, including all aspects of proposal, bid & submittal development.
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) highly desirable
  • Strong familiarity with tools, such as Microsoft Project and PLM systems
  • Persuasive and proactive individual with strong ability to adapt during times of change
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of the Datacenter Construction business, infrastructure equipment and demonstrated ability to support construction projects is a definite plus.
