JOB DESCRIPTION
Perform project assistance for a national design-build contracting firm. Responsible for assisting and coordinating project implementation services within the food industry nationwide.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Manager in the planning, coordination, and execution of cold storage construction projects.
- Assist with scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and subcontractor coordination.
- Help maintain project documentation including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and change orders.
- Serve as a point of contact between field staff, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
- Coordinate and communicate project updates and schedules to relevant stakeholders.
- Assist with leading internal and external project meetings.
- Help monitor job site activities to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and contractual standards
- Track project milestones and assist with ensuring adherence to specifications and deadlines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project files, including permits, inspections, and progress reports.
- Assist with preparing and reviewing project closeout documentation.
- Track and document project costs, invoices, and change orders in collaboration with accounting and project management.
- Nationwide travel.

Education & Skill Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree an appropriate engineering discipline, such as Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering is preferred.
- 1+ years of experience.
- Experience assisting with the project management or project management of construction projects. Experience in the commercial and/or industrial sectors is preferred.
- Knowledge of cold storage and food & beverage industry construction is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects/activities in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with construction project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
- Nationwide travel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- The following skills, experiences, and capabilities may receive greater consideration during the evaluation process: OSHA certification, Project Scheduling Experience, Document Control Experience, Experience with Microsoft Project, Procore, Sage, and Textura.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with and manage across cross-functional teams.
