Our client is seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager with a strong background in engineering and experience with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) to oversee a significant capital project valued at approximately $500,000. This role involves the replacement of existing raw material process piping loops, extending from storage tanks to multiple mixing suites.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Scoping and Planning:
Develop detailed project requirements and specifications for the process piping replacement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and clarity on project objectives.

Coordinate with Procurement and Legal departments to establish and negotiate service agreements and contracts.
Documentation and Approvals:
Prepare comprehensive documentation to secure capital approval for the project.
Ensure all paperwork complies with standards and regulatory requirements.
Project Execution:
Develop and execute a detailed project plan in consultation with resources to facilitate smooth operations within a production environment.
Be actively present onsite during the installation, testing, and commissioning of the new system to ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
Coordination and Scheduling:
Coordinate installation dates in advance to integrate seamlessly with the production schedule.
Manage project timelines, recognizing periods of inactivity due to proposal evaluations, contract finalization, material procurement, or scheduling constraints.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in engineering project management, particularly within cGMP-compliant environments.
Extensive experience in coordinating capital projects and managing multiple vendors/contractors.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Ability to develop thorough project documentation and execute projects within a live production environment.
Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the flexibility to balance onsite and remote project management tasks.

Work Environment:
The Construction Project Manager will need to be onsite initially for scoping and planning phases, with the potential to manage portions of the project remotely once key information is gathered. Onsite presence will be crucial throughout the installation and execution phases to ensure successful project delivery.

Additional Notes:
Contract without and end date, medical benefits provided.

We are looking for a project manager with engineering experience and cGMP experience to manage one capital project of ~$500K. The project is to replace the existing raw material process piping loop from the storage tanks to our multiple mixing suites. The project will likely require multiple vendors/contractors (i.e. plumber/process piping installer, electrician, insulation installer, controls contractor).I would expect the individual to scope out the requirements and specifications, find three vendors/contractors (of each discipline area necessary) for bidding, work internally with procurement and legal to establish service agreements and contracts/negotiations, prepare the necessary documentation required to secure capital approval, and also will work with many other internal resources to plan the execution (extremely important as this work will take place in a production environment), finally, Project Manager will need to be present for execution, testing, and release of the system.

Project Manager will require more work in the beginning to scope/plan and during the installation/execution of the project. In between, there will likely be long breaks (weeks or months) while waiting for proposals or agreements to be done, waiting for materials to arrive, or waiting for the available installation dates (would need to request installation dates months ahead of time for Operations to accommodate in the production schedule). Parts of the scoping and planning will likely need to be onsite at first but parts of it can be managed remotely once the project manager has information, they need from the plant. The Project Manager will need to be onsite for the installation/execution of the project.
