About the Role
As a Project Engineer Low Voltage Systems at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in supporting the design, communication, and documentation of Network and Low Voltage needs for our modular construction communities. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of construction documentation processes. You will directly contribute to efficient project execution, clear stakeholder communication, and timely coordination of submittals and RFIs.

You will collaborate with Pre-Construction, Site Project Managers, Superintendents, and fellow Project Engineers, ensuring seamless low voltage integration across all stages of modular project delivery. This is a full-time, onsite role located at our Z Modular facility.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic construction environment, enjoys managing documentation workflows, and brings strong communication and multitasking skills to the table.

What Youll Do

  • Manages project documentation workflows, including submittal approvals, RFIs, and correspondence tracking

  • Coordinates low voltage bid processes and presents bid summaries to project leadership

  • Updates and maintains project details using Procore Project Management Software

  • Supports material procurement and inventory validation prior to production

  • Assists in scheduling, budgeting, and vendor coordination related to low voltage trades

  • Prepares and updates project planning documents, including schedules and schedules of values

  • Supports change order processes and client/architect/engineer communication

  • Assists with preparation of purchase orders, requisitions, proposals, and subcontracts

  • Participates in weekly Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) coordination meetings

  • Completes required reporting and supports additional tasks as assigned by management

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of commercial construction experience, ideally with modular or multifamily projects

  • Bachelors degree in Building Science, Construction Management, or related field preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines

  • Willingness to travel as needed

  • Ability to work effectively in a construction and manufacturing environment

  • Commitment to safety practices and regulatory compliance

  • Eligible to work in the United States

  • Regular, full-time, onsite attendance required
