Slitter Operator 2nd Shift

Metals USA is seeking a Slitter Operator for our Randleman, NC location. Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Reviews work orders, tooling instructions or other written specifications.
• Coordinates and executes materials to be processed including operation of overhead crane and jib crane.
• Chooses correct material for the job according to work order.
• Sets up and aligns material and operates the slitting machine to slit continuous length of steel coils into strips of specified widths and operates blanking lines per work order instructions.
• Manages machine consumables, selects, cleans and installs spacers and slitting tooling on arbors to produce quality parts.
• Performs quality control inspections on finished product; for ISO certified locations, performs In Process Quality Inspections.
• Diagnoses problems and makes necessary adjustments and removes scrap from machine.
• Stacks, bands and palletizes finished products for shipment to customers.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required to perform the duties of a Blanking/Slitter Machine Operator in the warehouse.
• Notifies management of any product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions, and or personal injuries.
• Complies with company and OSHA safety policies and safe work practices.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required to perform the duties of Blanking Line /Slitter Machine Operator.
• Adheres to Reliance Steel and Aluminum's Code of Conduct as well as customer confidentiality requirements.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
