Project Manager

Job Description:

Project Manager is needed to perform the following duties :

Oversee the complete lifecycle of capital improvement projects at NYC public school facilities, including planning, design coordination, construction, and close-out.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and cost control measures.
Coordinate and manage all phases of construction from pre-construction through final completion.
Ensure adherence to NYC SCA standards, specifications, policies, and procedures.
Direct and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring productivity, safety, and quality standards are met or exceeded.
Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and trades to ensure timely and efficient execution of work.
Conduct regular site inspections, enforce safety protocols (OSHA/SCA compliance), and resolve field-related issues in real time.
Monitor field progress and provide daily and weekly status updates to internal teams and NYC SCA representatives.
Act as the primary liaison between the firm, NYC SCA project officers, school administrators, consultants, and community stakeholders.
Provide effective leadership and mentorship to assistant project managers, engineers, and field staff.
Proactively resolve conflicts and foster strong working relationships among diverse project stakeholders
Lead construction meetings, including progress meetings, pre-construction meetings, and close-out sessions.
Manage Requests for Information (RFIs), change orders, punch lists, monthly pay request and submittals in accordance with NYC SCA protocols.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the project team.
Ensure compliance with employees security, document management and record keeping for closeout purposes. Evaluate employees performance and create performance review reports for president.
Perform Cost to complete report every quarter to make sure project stays under budget and submit to president for review. Review subcontractor payment packages and delegate payments to the intra-company department.
Review and Inspect 3rd Party Control Inspection for every trade and comply with NYC SCA specs and safety protocol

Bachelor Degree is required in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
