Structural Steel Estimator

Job Title: Structural Steel & Miscellaneous Metals Estimator

We are seeking a Structural Steel & Miscellaneous Metals Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will prepare accurate cost estimates for both structural steel and miscellaneous metals such as stairs, railings, and ladders. The ideal candidate has experience in steel estimating and can read construction drawings.

• Review architectural and structural drawings and specifications

• Estimate costs for materials, labor, and equipment

• Prepare and submit bids and proposals

• Request and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractors

• Work with project managers, engineers, and clients during the bid process

• Track bid status and update estimates as needed

• 2+ years of estimating experience in structural and miscellaneous steel

• Ability to read and understand construction documents

• Knowledge of steel fabrication and erection

• Experience using estimating tools/software is a plus but not required

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Good communication and teamwork
