Construction Superintendent

Immediate need for Superintendent/Construction Project Supervisor for projects in Ventura & Santa Barbara Counties, CA

A well-established and respected general contractor based in Southern California is seeking a Construction Project Supervisor to lead the successful execution of commercial and residential construction projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional with hands-on superintendent experience who thrives in a fast-paced, high-quality, and safety-focused environment.

About the Company:
This firm specializes in private-sector construction, including new commercial developments, custom residential builds, private educational facilities, and a range of industrial and tenant improvement projects across Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise subcontractors to ensure quality performance and timely completion.

Manage project schedules using Smartsheet or similar tools, proactively addressing delays.

Monitor budgets, track RFIs, and support the management of change orders.

Uphold jobsite safety standards and conduct regular safety meetings.

Collaborate closely with staff, clients, and vendors to achieve project goals.

Stay informed on evolving construction methods and maintain best practices.

Requirements:

710 years of experience supervising ground-up and tenant improvement construction projects.

Background in residential construction is essential.

Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and construction platforms such as Procore and Smartsheet.

Knowledge of project documentation including RFIs, daily reports, and submittals.

Strong understanding of construction phases from grading through interior finishes.

Ability to read plans and conduct quantity take-offs; familiarity with estimating formats is a plus.

OSHA and/or CPR/First Aid certifications are a bonus (or willingness to obtain).

Must reside in or be willing to commute throughout Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.
