H2C seeks a Structural Engineer to join the Design Services organization. The Design Services organization at H2C performs the in-house design scope for H2C, supports design reviews of design media from external architectural and engineering firms and maintains the design standards and procedures.

The Structural Engineer performs engineering work requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of engineering or project tasks. Demonstrates problem solving and exercise of judgment as required on work details and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.

* Application of technical principles, theories, and concepts;
* Prepare conceptual, preliminary and final design engineering documents (Plans, Specifications & Estimates) for new and existing structures;
* Perform structural analysis and calculations;
* Prepare technical reports, quantities and cost estimate;
* Review designs, plans and shop drawings;
* Provide construction services, field inspections and investigations;
* Perform structural analysis using STAAD.Pro, MathCad, AutoCAD and other software;
* Apply working knowledge of IBC, ASCE, AISC, ASTM, ACI and other structural codes, manuals and standards to engineering design;
* Coordinate work with other engineering and technical disciplines, and be adept in working with various clients and their representatives;
* May function as group design technical lead (DTL) and assist line management and project delivery managers with development of technical work plans and design execution
* May be a participant on special assignment as assigned by supervisor;
* Complete training as required to support career path; and
* Perform tasks as assigned, obtaining guidance and help, as needed.

Required Qualifications
Grade 18:
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil Engineering or related technical discipline
Seven (7) years related experience

Grade 19:
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil Engineering or related technical discipline
Nine (9) years related experience.

Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased.

Grade 20:
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil Engineering or related technical discipline
Ten (10) years related experience.

Desired Qualifications
* Experience with nuclear application of Engineering tasks.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills needed to facilitate project milestones.
* 3 years of combined experience in design, analysis, inspections of buildings and related structures.
* Experienced in use of IBC, ASCE, AISC, ASTM, ACI and related structural codes and standards.
* Proficient in use of MathCad, STAAD.Pro and SmartPlant Foundation (SPF) software.
* EIT, PE or SE License.

Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, H2C takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial grade and salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made at the appropriate grade level and within the targeted hiring range posted according to these factors. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.

Hiring Range Minimum: $106,663
Hiring Range Maximum: $162,688
